Under normal circumstances, if the feed processing machinery uses a stepped cylindrical hole structure, the actual granulation requires less compression, and the ring mold cannot be made too thin in thickness due to the need for strength. The purpose is achieved by enlarging a section of the hole outside the original straight cylindrical hole.
This mainly plays two roles, one is to ensure the compression ratio of the ring die of the feed processing machinery, and the other is to meet the strength requirements. However, the result of this is that when the cutter is cutting, the distance between the cutting point and the bending point of the particles becomes larger. If the cutter is not sharp enough, the particles may be broken from the junction of the stepped holes and become longer than normal pellets. This is especially noticeable when the outer stepped holes are drilled deeper.
